This tree is fast growing and stately, reaching a height of 70-100 feet tall. Grows best in partial shade, but tolerates a variety of soils & climates. Wood is valuable due to it being soft, easy to work with, and not warped easily.
Common mature height of 75-100 feet & spread of 30-50 feet wide; a fast-growing & stately tree; tolerates a variety of soils & climates; Partial shade is the best sun conditions for it. If grown in full sun it can be more susceptible to a weevil that targets the crown, this will cause it is to a bushy tree rather than a tall and stately tree. As a softwood tree that can be susceptible to damage in heavy weather and should be planted cautiously near structures.
White Pine is also dubbed Michigan’s State Tree!
