BioChar 101 Workshop
Join us with our friends at the Grand Traverse Conservation District for an exciting hands-on workshop to make BioChar!
BioChar has been a fantastic soil amendment throughout the ages but recently has been gaining popularity again amongst foresters and agricultural producers. Homesteaders and gardeners alike can also benefit from using it to increase soil health. You can read more about BioChar here.
This hands-on workshop on Saturday, September 23, 2023 will teach participants how to make their own BioChar at home and how to use it in the garden. $10 registration includes coffee and light refreshments, and a bag of biochar to take home! There are a limited number of scholarships available for those who may need assistance with the registration fee.
The exact address of the workshop in South Boardman will be given to those that RSVP.
Those interested in attending can RSVP in the form below, or contact KCD staff at 231-258-3307 by the end of the day on September 21st.
Please note that this event will be rain or shine (unless severe and inclement weather is in effect), so it is best to watch the weather and dress accordingly.
