Weeknight Hikes- February

  • Seven Bridges Natural Area 6824 Valley Rd Rapid City, MI, 49676 United States (map)
Updated on February 17 at 3:00pm: Tonight’s hike has been POSTPONED one week due to poor trail and parking lot conditions. As much as we’d love to hike and mastered the ‘penguin’ walk on ice, It’s best we wait one week for conditions to improve. If you must hike on established trails, please use a hiking stick and ice cleats/Yak tracks to increase safety.

Thank you for your understanding!

Join us for an evening hike!

It's good for your mind, body, and soul to hike with like natured people and it'll keep us honest for our NYE resolutions!

Meet at Seven Bridges Natural Area for a beautiful walk amongst the cedar trees and the Little Rapid River. Look for "Conservation District Event" signs. This will be a quick hike, at only .6 miles of trail, but it is SO beautiful this time of year, especially in the twilight hour! This is a good time to celebrate the lengthening daylight hours and explore the depths of winter when the air usually hurts our face (hence a short hike tonight!).

We'll hike or snowshoe depending on trail conditions and hiker preferences. Snowshoes are available to borrow if pre-arranged with the Conservation District.

This is a snow or shine event unless a Winter Weather Advisory and inclement weather are in effect.

For more info call Renee at (231) 258-3307 or email (renee.penny@macd.org). RSVPs are welcomed but not mandatory, simply show up ready to explore!
