Forest Forensics Workshop
Forest Forensics is the art and science of using clues to determine the history of a local area. Clues range from geologic landforms that influence the underlying soil type, tree growth forms that provide evidence of past events, and remnant human-constructed infrastructure. This session is an extension of the April Conservation Series talk at the Library. We’ll take a walk through the woods to find evidence and piece together the story of natural forces and management activities of the landscape.
Please plan accordingly to walk 2-3 miles in both on and off-trail conditions through the woods. Light refreshments are provided. RSVP's highly encouraged but not mandatory.
