Native Plant Sale

Where would we BEE without pollinators? Our fuzzy little bee friends need our help and we can do that by planting native wildflowers!

We’re partnering with Birdsfoot Native Nursery to host our first annual Native Plant Sale. They collect all seeds locally so each species has been locally adapted to our region and will be especially successful and adapted to local growing conditions.

The sale will take place in Downtown Kalkaska at the Railroad Square Pavilion from 10am to 2pm. At Noon there will be a “lunch and learn” presentation by the Friends of the Conservation District and District staff about best planting and growing tips and tricks for the native species and the butterflies and bees that rely on native nectar sources.
