Join us for an evening hike at our Weeknight Hike Series!
Meet us for an evening hike on the Kalkaska Area Recreation Trail (KART) for a 1.8 mile loop style hike. With hunting season drawing very near, we’re retreating back to Village limits and hiking on a paved trail to avoid any conflicts with hunters in the woods. This is an important reminder to always be wearing brightly colored clothing, especially hunters orange while exploring public property and trails!
We do plan to hike rain or shine so please dress accordingly. In the event of severe inclement weather, we will cancel the event to allow for safe travels home.
See the image below for directions, clicking on the image will enlarge it. On the afternoon of the hike, we will have "Conservation District Event" signs, indicating where we will be meeting.
