Join us for an evening event that’s sure to be a ‘hoot’! We have teamed up with our partners at Au Sable Institute for Environmental Studies and Primavera of Dunamis Peace Institute for an extra special event.
Au Sable will show-off their owl whispering skills for us at Primavera’s beautiful trails. The forest under story at Primavera lies the head of the Boardman Watershed and is full of beautiful cedar, hemlock, and tamarack trees. After we learn about the owls that live in our Northern forests we will attempt to call Barred Owls closer to us. We can’t promise anything exciting, because these are WILD animals and may be scared by our presence or have their own agenda.
All ages are invited to participate in this FREE event, but please dress wisely for weather and trail conditions. We will walk along a short, unimproved trail that totals approximately 3/4 mile. Snowshoes should not be necessary, but boots are highly recommended. Walking sticks and flashlights will be available for the evening.
Due to the nature of the event and parking, registration is limited to 20 people.
