Spring is here and it's time to start your garden!
Join the Kalkaska Conservation District for a community seed exchange at the Little Red School House (5407 River St NW) in Rapid City! Bring your extra seeds and plant starts (fruits, veggies, herbs, & non-invasive flowers), plus any gardening tips you wish to share.
This event is totally FREE and open to the public, and you do not need to come with seeds or be a resident of Rapid City to participate. The Kalkaska Conservation District will have more than enough seeds to share.
This will be an "open house" style event, so you may come and go anytime between 1:00 and 3:00 pm.
Any leftover or donated seeds will be added to our free Seed Library located inside the Kalkaska County Library.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Kalkaska Conservation District at 231-258-3307 or email Stephanie at stephanie.wiley@macd.org.
Can’t make this swap? No problem! We have plenty of opportunities for you to gather with other local gardeners this March:
