American Hazelnuts have never looked better. This year we offer seedlings ranging from 1-2 feet in height. They certainly won’t disappoint!

Hazelnuts are medium-fast growers that can reach 8-12 feet tall with a crown spread of 10-15 feet. It adapts well to all soil types but does best in well-drained loamy soil and prefers full sun. It can grow in part sun conditions but may experience stunted growth.

It supports a variety of wildlife, including humans. It can make an excellent hedge or privacy barrier. Just be sure to leave room to walk all the way around it to collect the fruit! Young growth should be protected from wind until shrubs can be established after a few growing seasons.
