Conservation District Day with Skegemog Raptor Center

  • Rapid River Township Hall 1010 Phelps Rd NE Kalkaska, MI, 49646 United States (map)

Event Rescheduled: Conservation District Day

As an organization that encourages people to get outside and enjoy the incredible woods, waters, and natural spaces that surround us, this wasn't an easy decision.

However, with the current wildfire smoke creating extreme air quality concerns, we don't feel it's the safest time to gather outdoors. The health and well-being of our community, volunteers, partners, and staff are our top priority.

Because of this, we've made the difficult decision to reschedule Conservation District Day with the Skegemog Raptor Center.

We're disappointed to postpone this celebration, but we know the forests will still be here to explore when the air is healthier. We'll be announcing a new date as soon as it's confirmed, and the foraging hike and Skegemog Raptor Center meet-and-greet will both be included in the rescheduled event.

Thank you for your understanding and flexibility as we put our community's health first. We hope you'll stay safe, monitor local air quality conditions, and join us when we can celebrate conservation together under clearer skies.

We'll share the new date soon—stay tuned!

We appreciate your understanding!
