Join us on the lawn at the Kalkaska Farmers Market to learn all about how to turn your trash into valuable soil amendments from the compost pros at SEEDS Ecology & Education Centers!
Want to learn how to turn your trash into treasure?
On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 4-5 PM, SEEDS will be presenting “Composting 101” on the lawn at the Kalkaska Farmers Market, located at Railroad Square Pavilion (353 S Cedar St, Kalkaska).
Learn about the basics of what you can compost, how to start your own compost pile, and why you should begin!
This event is FREE & open to the public.
If you can’t make the event, SEEDS will be tabling for the duration of the Farmers Market (2-6 PM), so feel free to stop by at your convenience to get all your compost questions answered while shopping local!
RSVPs are not required, but will help us to be prepared with space and seating for the event. Limited picnic table seating will be available. Please bring a blanket or lawn chair if you wish.
