End of Summer Celebration

Celebrate the end of another wonderful summer with The Lewis School, the Kalkaska Conservation District, and Live Well Kalkaska Substance Free Coalition!

We will be at the Lewis School Tree Farm from 2pm-11pm. This "open house" style event allows you to come and go at your convenience. Explore a variety of stations at your own pace, or follow along what we have planned throughout the day.

An outline of the day is as follows:
2:00-2:30 Arrivals & tours of the areas
2:30-3:00 Storytime
3:00-4:30 Nature walk
4:30-6:00 Hotdogs on the campfire, free time
6:00-7:30 Mindfulness nature walk
7:30-8:00 Storytime
8:00-9:00 Free time
9:00-10:30 Movie under the stars
10:30-11:00 Stargazing

"Stations" around camp will include: botanical dyeing, cyanotype, plant pounding, patchwork station, printing, music, collage making, bracelet making, rock painting, journaling, mural making, cornhole, puppetry, and more.

We will have hotdogs and marshmallows for roasting and popcorn for during the movie. Water and lemonade will be provided.

We will also have a "Free Table". If you have anything you want to give away, bring it to the table and take what you need. This includes clothes, books, tea, extra crops from your garden, etc.

This event is for people of all ages. Whether you come with friends, family, or on your own, you're sure to have a great time.

RSVPs are not required, but appreciated. Please fill out the form below with a how many people will be in your party and an estimation of what time you plan to attend.
