Drop off details:

  • Drive up to main entrance of the Kalkaska Middle School, this entrance is off of West Kalkaska Street

  • Staff will great you and check you in.

  • If you have a large amount of items, a donation is greatly appreciated. It helps us be able to host a bigger and better collection event in the future and off-sets the costs of the increased materials being brought in.

  • Please have items in trunk or bed of truck and easily accessible. Sometimes items in cardboard boxes makes this processes easier.

  • IF you have mercury, please contact us about how to transport it!! It should be in a sealed plastic or glass container, not just in a cardboard box. It can be impossible to contain if the container is broken.

  • Staff and volunteers will take the items from your vehicle.

  • Then you are free to go about the rest of your day knowing the materials you brought will be disposed of properly and not leaking into or beautiful rivers and forests.

Please contact our office if you have any questions about the event, (231)258-3307.
