Join us for a full moon evening hike!
Join us for a full moon evening hike! We will provide lanterns for everyone to guide us into the dusky hours of the evening to walk the trail at the South Boardman Nature Preserve. It's good for your mind, body, and soul to hike with like-natured people and it'll keep us honest for our NYE resolutions!
Meet at the South Boardman Nature Preserve, located on Butler Road in South Boardman, MI. See the image below for directions, clicking on the image will enlarge it. Look for "Conservation District Event" signs!
We'll hike/snowshoe/xc ski depending on trail conditions and hiker preferences for a total hike of 1. mile. We’ll hike out and back to the Stone Bridge over Albright Creek.
Please come prepared to hike in low-light conditions. We will have some lanterns available for all to borrow. The trail in this section is relatively flat with little to no elevation changes.
This is a snow or shine event unless a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect. Every effort will be made to post updates at least 4 hours in advance of the event. You can check back on the event listing or the KCD page.
For more info call Renee at (231) 258-3307 or email (renee.penny@macd.org). RSVPs are welcomed but not mandatory, simply show up ready to explore!
