Lend a hand, save the land- help us clean the Manistee River!
We will be working together to get the Upper Manistee River cleaned of litter from the M-72 Landing (across the street from Shel-Haven Canoe Rental) to “Hole in the Wall” (located on Riverview Road SE). Those interested should meet us at the DNR Boat Launch on M-72 by 10:00 am. District staff will assist with shuttling boats and vehicles. We expect to be done well before 3:00pm.
If we have enough volunteers, we will split the group into two: one group will clean M-72 to Hole in the Wall, and a second group from Hole in the Wall to Yellow Trees.
This event is BYOB (bring your own boat). We will supply grabber tools for picking up litter, but please bring your own canoe/kayak, paddle, life vest, water, snacks, sunscreen, and whatever else you may need for a day on the river.
