Youth & Family Snowshoe

Have your kids spend their day off school enjoying the winter wonderland we live in with LiveWell Kalkaska Substance Free Coalition & the Kalkaska Conservation District!

WHAT: Join us for a fun and educational snowshoe hike designed for youth and families! This outdoor adventure will give participants the chance to explore the beauty of winter nature while learning valuable life skills. Together, we’ll hike through scenic trails, enjoy the winter landscape, and engage in activities that promote stress management and well-being.

WHEN: Monday, February 10, 2025 | 11:00am-1:00pm

WHO: Kids ages 8 and up, those under 8 years old with a parent/guardian present, families.

COST: FREE!!

THE AGENDA:

  • 11:00-11:15 Arrival, checkin, get ready

  • 11:15-12:15 Snowshoe/hike

  • 12:15-12:50 Lunch (provided); hotdogs, fries, soda

  • 12:50-1:00 Final remarks and pickups

We have a limited number of snowshoes available for borrow. Participants may also bring their own or choose to hike.

If you need to cancel your RSVP, please let Sarah know as soon as possible. We do not need a reason for your cancellation. We are limiting the number of attendees and there is a lot of prep work that goes into this event. If you RSVP and change your mind, we can offer your spot to someone else who may want to attend. No call, no show to this LWK/KCD event may affect your ability to participate in future events.
