Family Lantern-lit Snowshoe Hike

  • Kalkaska Conservation District 406 South Cedar Street Kalkaska, MI, 49646 United States (map)

Live Well Kalkaska Substance Free Coalition, Kalkaska County Sheriff, and the Kalkaska Conservation District are teaming up to bring you another fun event to get the whole family outside enjoying the beauty of Kalkaska county!

Meet us at Skegemog Lake Wildlife Area (Round Lake Rd trailhead) in Rapid City on Friday, March 7 at 6:00 for a family lantern-lit snowshoe hike! We have snowshoes available for borrow for both youth and adults. We will also supply the lanterns! This trail is 2 miles, out-and-back style. We will hike out to Lake Skegemog, take a short break, then hike back.

If the snow melts, the event is still on and it will be a lantern-lit hike.

Kids over 8 years old can attend without a parent present, and those under 8 are welcome if accompanied by a trusted adult.

RSVPs are REQUIRED! Please fill out the Google Form by following this link. The Google Form needs to be filled out completely.
