Mill Pond Park Shoreline Project

Native Plants are one of the best measures to protect shoreline health and water quality. We have secured a small grant through Great Lakes Energy People Fund to treat invasive species and replace them with a healthier NATIVE alternatives. We need your help to plant nearly 300 feet of shoreline of native plugs, ie small plants.

All are invited to help landscape native species at Mill Pond. This would be a great service learning opportunity for all ages and skill levels. Kids are always welcome but may be best suited for ages 10 and up. We will have some tools for participants to borrow but quantity will be limited so please bring your favorite shovel, hand trowel, or garden gloves! Refreshments are provided for all volunteers.
