Join us for a fun filled morning on the Manistee River in our annual river cleanup! We are partnering with the folks at Boardman River Clean Sweep to clean the Upper Manistee River (UMR) in Kalkaska County.
Please meet at 8:30am at the Burger King in Kalkaska. After a brief safety meeting we will carpool and head out to the Shel-Haven Canoe Livery on M72. One group will cleans from M72/Shel-Haven to Hole in the Wall. And a second group will clean from County Road 612 NE to M72/ShelHaven Canoe Livery.
Come along and have a relaxing day with us on the UMR! Tools and snacks will be provided. Canoes can be provided upon request at least 2 days prior to the event. Afterwards, the groups will meet up at the Kalkaska Conservation District office in Downtown Kalkaska for lunch, refreshments, and laughter.
