Spring is here and it's time to start your garden!
Join the Kalkaska Conservation District and the Kalkaska County Library for a community seed exchange.
On Tuesday, April 7, we will be at the Kalkaska County Library (247 S Cedar St, Kalkaska).
Bring your extra seeds, plant starts (fruits, veggies, herbs, & non-invasive flowers), and any gardening tips you wish to share.
This event is totally FREE and open to the public, and you do not need to come with seeds or be a resident of Kalkaska to participate.
This will be an "open house" style event, so you may come and go anytime between 5:00 and 7:00 pm.
This event will also mark the kick off of the Seed Library. The Seed Library is a free resource available to Kalkaska County residents and will be available to the public from April 7 through summer in the Kalkaska County Library.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Kalkaska Conservation District at 231-258-3307 or email kalkaskaCD@macd.org, or call the Library 231-258-9411.
Can’t make this swap? No problem! We have plenty of opportunities for you to gather with other local gardeners this Spring:
Thursday, March 26 | 1-3 pm | Coldsprings Branch Library
Monday, March 30 | 1-3 pm | Garfield Branch Library
Tuesday, April 7 | 5-7 pm | Kalkaska County Library (Seed Library Kickoff)
