Soil Health Field Day

Join the Antrim and Kalkaska Conservation Districts for our annual Soil Health Field Day! This years event will be hosted at the Iott Seed Potato Farm in Kalkaska County. We are excited to highlight the ongoing 3 year cover crop field trail. This season marks year 2 in the trials and we will have soil sample results back in time for the field day. Come prepared with many questions as Dr. Bird and Marisol Quintanilla of Michigan State University will be there to answer any questions about the trials!

Registration is $10 per person and includes a locally sourced lunch. You must pre-register by July 22 to guarantee your lunch. You can register online here or call our office anytime at (231)258-3307 for up to date announcements.

  • Attracting Beneficial Insects on the Farm (Nate Walton, MSU Extension)

  • Composting Benefits and Field Applications (Brad Morgan, Morgan Composting)

  • MAEAP Phase 1 credits and program outline (Jodi DeHate, MAEAP Tech)
