The Kalkaska Conservation District in partnership with Rapid City Parks & Recreation is bringing you a crash course on gardening!
Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or a novice, this event is designed to cultivate your love of gardening and help you develop (or improve) your green thumb.
What to expect:
Seed starting and site preparation
Upgrading your soil using soil amendments
Planting for pollinators
Herbs for health
This event will take place at the Red Schoolhouse Community Building in Rapid City (5407 River St, Rapid City) from 1:00-4:00 pm on Saturday, March 23, 2024.
$5 registration fee includes an afternoon of learning, light refreshments & snacks. (If cost is a limiting factor to your attendance, please contact Sarah at sarah.schroeder@macd.org or 231-258-3307)
Directly after the workshop, we will open the Schoolhouse to the public to host a Community Seed Swap from 4:30-6:00 pm. Please bring any extra seeds or plant starts you have that you would be willing to share. If you do not have seeds to share, no problem! The Kalkaska Conservation District received a generous donation of seeds for our Seed Library and we have plenty to go around.
RSVPs are REQUIRED. Tickets can be purchased online by following the link below, calling 231-258-3307, or emailing sarah.schroeder@macd.org.
