Join us on Thursday, February 18, 2021 to talk trees! Larry Czelusta and Renee Penny will lead a guided hike around the Log Lake Disc Golf Course and talk trees along the way. We’ll learn tips and tricks to ID 15 trees along the trail. Rest easy though, it’s easier than you might think without the leaves on the tree! We’ll take a deeper look at tree barks, branches, and buds.

This workshop is free but limited to 10 participants to allow for better social distancing and teaching moments. If there is high demand for the workshop we will host a second session at a later date. You can RSVP below or by contacting Renee or Larry at the Conservation District office, 231-258-3307.

Please come prepared with appropriate winter clothing. This will be a snow or shine event (unless severe inclement weather and wind). Snowshoes can be helpful if we have deep snow on the ground, if you don’t have a pair we’d be happy to loan you a pair. Please notify Renee at least 24 hours in advance of the workshop if you need to borrow snowshoes.
