Kick off the new year with fresh air, snowy trails, and a chance to dust off your skis!
Join the Kalkaska Conservation District for a friendly Cross-Country Ski Social on the beautiful trails at Twin Birch Golf Course. The event will take place on Saturday, January 10th from 12-2pm. We will meet in the overflow parking lot across from the restaurant (look for the “Conservation District Event” signs).
Whether you’re a seasoned skier or testing out the new pair of skis your kids bought you for Christmas, all levels are welcome.
We’ll start the afternoon with a few tips and tricks to help you feel confident on the snow, then head out on the trails for about an hour and a half. It’s the perfect way to get outside, move your body, and embrace winter in northern Michigan!
As a thank you for kicking off a new year of getting outside with us, each attendee will leave with a coupon for a discounted day pass to cross country ski at Forbush Corner! **Please RSVP below to receive a coupon.**
If you want to try cross country skiing but don’t have a pair of your own yet, let us know by calling 231-258-3307! While we cannot guarantee it, we will do our best to find a pair for you to borrow.
