MDARD awards $9.7 million to 75 Michigan Conservation Districts for soil, water, and wildlife protection

Conservation districts are local government entities working to enhance and conserve soil, water, wildlife, and other natural resources in their local communities. This year marks a historic investment of $3 million for district operations, the highest funding levels since 2008.

Conservation Resource Alliance (CRA), in partnership with area Conservation Districts, is pleased to announce the 2021 season of Wild Roots! Wild Roots is a cost-share program that allows landowners and organizations to order native seedlings at a highly reduced cost, offset by the generous support of our funding partners. The program kicks off online TODAY and runs as long as supplies last.
