KALKASKA TRAIL TOWN PARTNERS PRESENTS: TRAILHEAD DEDICATION AND RIBBON CUTTING

Let’s celebrate the grand opening of the new trailhead on the North Country National Scenic Trail (NCNST)! The Kalkaska Trail Town Partners invite you to a ribbon-cutting celebration for a new trailhead on the Trail. The Trailhead features handicap accessible parking and nearly 1/4 mile of ADA trail to view the North Branch of the Boardman-Ottaway River in Kalkaska.

Featuring:

  • Guided hikes on the North Country Trail

    • Long hike - 8:00am departure for 6 mile hike

    • Short hike - 9:30am departure for 2.25 mile hike

    • Both hikes will depart from the Kalkaska Municipal Parking Lot (Third St and Walnut St), across from the Post Office, Downtown

  • 11:30am Trailhead Dedication and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

  • FREE community picnic at Railroad Square immediately following the ribbon cutting ceremony
