DUE TO THE COVID19 CRISIS AND EXTENDED STAY AT HOME ORDERS PER GOV. WHITMER, THE SPRING 2020 MICORP EVENTS HAVE BEEN CANCELED TO PROTECT STAFF AND PARTICIPANTS. WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE AND LOOK FORWARD TO HOSTING THIS EVENT IN THE FALL.

Manistee River Stream Sampling Day:

The Manistee River is a gem in Kalkaska County and Northern Michigan. Help us keep it that way by monitoring the river's health!

We need you to help us count and collect bugs!!! After a brief safety meeting & sample protocol overview, we will depart in teams to sample tributaries on the Manistee River. No previous experience is required. Children are welcome, but best suited for ages 10 and up.

All equipment is provided & waders are available upon request at least 24 hours in advance of the event. Food and refreshments will be provided post collection.

Please arrive at the Kalkaska Conservation District office in downtown Kalkaska (406 S Cedar St, Ste A, Kalkaska, MI 49646) by 9: 00 am.
