Spring has sprung! Get outside, explore, and celebrate the new season with the Kalkaska Conservation District, Live Well Kalkaska, and the Kalkaska County Sheriff’s Office!
Meet us at the Upper Manistee Headwaters: The Milock Family Preserve on Friday, March 20th for a family-friendly Spring Equinox Hike. Youth, families, and community members of all ages are welcome to join us as we welcome longer days and fresh beginnings.
We’ll walk approximately 1.5–2 miles at a relaxed pace while enjoying the sights and sounds of early spring. Along the way, we’ll practice simple stress management strategies, engage in mindful observation, and learn how time outdoors can support both mental and physical well-being.
Whether you come to move your body, clear your mind, learn about nature, or simply soak in the season, this hike is a great way to reconnect with nature and with one another!
Dress for the weather and bring your sense of curiosity. We can’t wait to see you on the trail!
RSVPs are not required, but will be helpful to let us know who is attending! You may do so by filling out the form below, calling or texting 231-564-9055, or emailing sarah.schroeder@macd.org.
