It’s time to pick up your trees! 🌱
Pre-orders from the Kalkaska Conservation District’s Annual Tree Seedling Sale can be picked up at the Kalkaska County Road Commission (1049 Island Lake Rd, Kalkaska, MI 49646) on the following dates:
Thursday, April 24 | 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Friday, April 25 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
The pre-sale ordering deadline is April 9. Seedlings are pre-sold ahead of pick-up weekend so staff can organize orders. Click here to view this year’s Tree Catalog. Click here to go to our District Store and place your order online.
Extra seedlings will be available for purchase on a first-come, first-serve basis during pick-up hours. A list of species available for day-of shopping will be posted on our website and Facebook on April 24. We accept cash, card, and check (made payable to “KCD”).
WHILE YOU’RE HERE:
Help us choose the 2026 Poster Contest Winner!
Students from Kalkaska Public Schools in grades K–5 created “Soil. Where it all Begins” posters as part of this year’s National Association of Conservation District Poster Contest. The top 10 posters from each age group (K-1, 2-3, and 4-5) will be displayed at the tree sale, and visitors can cast their vote for the winner!
INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING?
Thousands of baby trees need your help getting to their forever homes! Volunteers help sort, bundle, and prepare seedlings for pick-up during the week of April 20–23. Volunteers are also needed to help run orders on April 24-25. If you are interested in helping, please reach out to kalkaskaCD@macd.org or call our office at 231-258-3307.
