Notice of 30 Day Strategic Plan Review

The Kalkaska Conservation District has recently completed a draft strategic plan. They met with various stakeholders to review unique challenges and benefits of Kalkaska County resources and discussed how the District can expand their mission and outreach efforts. This 3 year strategic plan will guide District Staff and Board Members in overseeing and executing various projects.

Everyone is welcome to review the draft and provide comments for the final document. A physical copy of the document is available at the District office, 406 South Cedar St, Suite A, Kalkaska, MI, Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm. Copies will also be available at the Kalkaska Village Offices and the Kalkaska Public Library. An electronic copy will be available to download here.

A Public Hearing will be held on April 17th at 6:30pm preceding the monthly Board of Directors meeting. If anyone is unable to attend the public hearing but wishes to provide comments, please email the District Manager, Mark Randolph at mark.randolph@macd.org with the subject line “Strategic Plan Public Comment”.
