Smoky Pumpkin Mac & Cheese

When making this recipe, you can use canned pumpkin puree if you’re in a hurry, but homemade puree is worth the extra time it takes to make. Follow this recipe to make your own and you’ll never go back to using canned. If you don’t have pumpkin around, this recipe would work great with any pureed winter squash (butternut, kabocha, or buttercup to name a few).
